Current report no. 8/2009 - Information on the appointment of the President of the Management Bard of the Bank and Vice Presidents of the Management Board for the next term
Pursuant to § 5 section 1 item 22 of the Ordinance of the Minister of Finance on current and periodical information provided by issuers of securities and conditions for considering as equal information required under the law of a non-member state dated 19 February 2009 (Journal of Laws, No. 33, item 259).
Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. (the „Bank”) announces that on 19 March 2009 the Supervisory Board of the Bank, pursuant to Art. 369 § 1 of the Commercial Companies Code Act and §18 item 1 of the Bank’s Articles of Association, re-elected Mr. Sławomir Stefan Sikora as President of the Management Board of the Bank for a further 3-year term.
Mr. Sławomir Stefan Sikora has an MA in Economics from Szkoła Główna Planowania i Statystyki /Central School of Planning and Statistics/ (currently Szkoła Główna Handlowa /Warsaw School of Economics/), Poland. Sławomir S. Sikora has been the President of the Management Board of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. since July 2003. Since March 2005 he has been also Chief Executive Officer and Citigroup Country Officer, responsible for Citigroup operations in Poland. In December 2005 he joined Citigroup Management Committee, the top company forum for discussions of strategic matters at Citigroup. In the years 2001-2003 he was President of the Management Board of American Bank in Poland.
In the years 1994-2001 he worked for Powszechny Bank Kredytowy (PBK) as Deputy President of the Management Board of PBK, responsible for Corporate and Investment Banking. In the years 1989-1994 he served in a number of positions with the Ministry of Finance (he was, among others, Head of the Banking and Financial Institutions Department). He is member of the Management Board of the Polish Bank Association and Vice President of the Polish Confederation of Private Employers Lewiatan.
Mr. Sławomir S. Sikora is not engaged in any activity that is competitive with the Bank and does not participate in a competitive company either as a partner of a civil law partnership or any other form of partnership, or as a member of the governing bodies of a corporate organization or other competitive legal person. Mr. Sławomir S. Sikora is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors.

(the „Bank”) announces that at the same meeting the Supervisory Board of the Bank, pursuant to Art. 369 § 1 of the Commercial Companies Code Act and §18 item 2 of the Bank’s Articles of Association, on motion of the President of the Management Board of the Bank, Mr. Sławomir S. Sikora, re-elected Ms. Sonia Wędrychowicz-Horbatowska and Mr. Witold Zieliński as Vice Presidents of the Management Board for a further 3-year term.
Ms. Sonia Wędrychowicz-Horbatowska holds a Master's degree in Foreign Trade from Szkoła Główna Handlowa /the Warsaw School of Economics/ and a BA in European Business Studies from Brunel University in London. She has been the Vice President of the Management Board of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. since September 2006. She started her work in Citibank Poland in1994 in Cash Management in Transaction Services Division. In 2002 Sonia Wędrychowicz-Horbatowska became Head of Cash and Trade, and was given the additional responsibility for GSS in 2003. At the end of 2003 she became Global Transaction Services Head. Currently she is responsible for the Bank’s Consumer Banking Sector.
Ms. Sonia Wędrychowicz-Horbatowska is not engaged in any activity that is competitive with Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. and does not participate in a competitive company either as a partner of a civil law partnership or any other form of partnership, or as a member of the governing bodies of a corporate organization or other competitive legal person. Ms. Sonia Wędrychowicz-Horbatowska is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors.
Mr. Witold Zieliński holds a degree in International Law from the University of Warsaw. He started his career in 1980 in Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. in the Southern European Department in the Foreign Loans Division. In 1983 he held the position of Senior Counsel in the Ministry of Education. In the years 1986 - 1990 he worked as the Deputy Commercial Attaché for the Polish Commercial Office in New York.
In 1991 Witold Zieliński joined Citibank Polska S.A. In the years 1992 - 1995 he was a Member of the Bank's Management, then he worked for Citibank N.A. London Branch, where he was responsible for the sales of global products and customer risk assessment in Southern and Eastern European markets. In 1998 he set up a representative office of Citibank NA in Kiev and then established a fully licensed bank - Citibank Ukraine, which he ran as President until the end of 2003. In the years 2004-2005 he was the President of the Management Board of Citibank Romania. Witold Zieliński has been the Vice President of the Management Board of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. since 2006. He is also Chief Financial Officer.
Mr. Witold Zieliński is not engaged in any activity that is competitive with the Bank and does not participate in a competitive company either as a partner of a civil law partnership or any other form of partnership, or as a member of the governing bodies of a corporate organization or other competitive legal person. Mr. Witold Zieliński is not listed in the Register of Insolvent Debtors.
