The First Payment Card & Public Transport Travel Pass in Wroclaw

Citi Handlowy, together with the city of Wrocław and Mennica Polska S.A., has introduced the Citibank Payment Public Transport Card. In addition to the convenient use offered with this one-stop solution, which is an account card integrated with the Wrocław Public Transport Card, Wrocław public transport users can also take advantage of a special ticket discount. All customers who credit their Citi Handlowy personal accounts with an amount of at least PLN 1,500 monthly can take advantage of the 10-percent ticket discount. The Citibank Public Transport can be used not only as a public transport travel pass or payment card but also as an electronic entry ticket to public facilities in Wrocław, such as the zoo or the aqua park.

The Citibank Payment Public Transport Card brings together the many functions of the Citibank payment card and the Wrocław public transport travel pass. This solution, which is much more advanced than a standard pre-paid card, allows customers to encode tickets on the bank account card. Thus, public transport users in Wrocław can enjoy the multiple functions of the "plastic solution" that allows them not only to make payments, ATM withdrawals or use discounts under Poland's most extensive Payment Card Discount Program, but also provides the ability to encode a variety of public transport tickets (7-day, 30-day, 60-day and 90-day or "semester" tickets).

The Citibank Urbancard is the first card to offer public transport ticket discounts in Wrocław. Only Citibank Urbancard holders can save 10 percent on the purchase of time-limited public transport tickets. In the case of 30-day regular public transport tickets, this means a savings of approximately PLN 96 a year. The only requirement is crediting their account with PLN 1,500 each month. The discounts are redeemed in the form of the bank's refund of a portion of the price at which the ticket was purchased. The refund goes directly into the holder's account. Refunds are made at the end of the following month.

While it can take a few days to issue the Urbancard, the Citibank Urbancard can be picked up from any of the bank's eight branch offices in Wrocław during the same visit. The card is personalized; it features not only the name of the holder but his or her picture as well. The customer's picture can be taken quickly on the spot at the bank's branch. Thus, customers do not have to wait several days to pick up the card; they can collect it during the same visit to the bank's branch.

The 10-percent discount applies to time-limited tickets: 30-day, 60-day, 90-day, "semester tickets," both discounted and regular.

Citi Handlowy is Poland's first bank to introduce the Payment Urbancard. Public transport users in Warsaw were the first to benefit from this solution. Over 10,000 customers are now using Citibank Urbancard.

The Citibank Payment Urbancard is available with Citi Handlowy branches in Wrocław and various mobile points of sale locations. For more information on the offer and for a list of participating outlets offering the Wrocław Citibank Urbancard, please go to www.citihandlowy.pl.
