New cities among Citi Handlowy's clients
Citi Handlowy has signed an agreement for the next four years of cooperation with the city of Częstochowa and for the next 3 years with the city of Ząbki. The city of Lidzbark Warmiński has also joined the group of the bank's customers.
Citi Handlowy has been cooperating with Częstochowa since 2017. The city's services include many banking solutions - from basic products related to account and payment services to consolidation structures, financing and cashless payments. Thanks to many years of cooperation and implementation of projects in the field of digital payments, Częstochowa is today one of the best digitized cities in Poland.
"The cooperation between the city and the bank is a model example of cashless city and partnership in introducing innovative solutions. We have specific plans for the next years of cooperation, including the development of modern cashless solutions launched recently, such as payment machines and e- commerce functionalities for official matters. Cashless transactions save time and conveniently meet their needs for city residents. As part of the service for local government units, we introduce modern solutions, setting trends on the local government market" says Radosław Szewczak, Director of the Public Sector Department at Citi Handlowy.
Citi Handlowy will also continue its cooperation with the City of Ząbki for the next 3 years, and won an order for comprehensive banking services for the City of Lidzbark Warmiński, with which cooperation began on January 1, 2024. "We are very pleased that more units will benefit from our experience in the digitization of local government finances. I am convinced that this cooperation will be effective and satisfactory", says Radosław Szewczak.
For many years, the Public Sector Department of Citi Handlowy has been a partner of local governments in creating modern administration and implementing innovations. The role of the bank in providing banking services to cities or counties is not limited only to handling accounts - it is primarily the individual preparation of comprehensive solutions that support local governments in providing services to residents and effective management of operations. The bank has a number of solutions in its portfolio:
- management of local government finances in terms of consolidation structures, identification of mass payments with individual reports and system integration;
- handling residents' payments - from POS terminals through payment machines and the latest e- commerce solution;
- financing both current operations and investments.
