Privacy protection
The following section explains the rules of processing all information that the User may disclose to us while using the Citi Mobile® application (the Application), in force at Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A., operating under the brand of Citi Handlowy (hereinafter “the Bank”). Our goal is to provide maximum protection of data of the users of our Application.
If the User submits information which constitutes their personal data, such as address of residence, email address, telephone and facsimile number or other identifying information, such information shall not be disclosed, in any form whatsoever, to any third parties unless the user grants us prior authorisation to do so or the obligation to disclose these data follows from the applicable provisions of the law. Information concerning the customer’s transactions shall be processed according to security and confidentiality rules applicable at the Bank, which shall ensure, among other things, that the information is protected according to the rules of protecting bank secrecy following from the legal provisions in force.

Cookies are files used for storing information or obtaining access to information already stored on the Application User’s end telecommunications device.

What type of cookies do we use?
Cookies used by the Bank do not store any personal data and are used, among other things, for remembering the users’ preferences and for securing the Application. If the User does not agree to installation of cookies, it may prevent access to the Application or its correct functioning.
The Citi Mobile® application uses the following types of cookies:

Persistent cookies:
are saved on the device used by the User, even after leaving the viewed website. The Bank stores and obtains access to this information to remember the User’s preferences selected while visiting a given website, for example remembering the user name while logging in to the Application. The purpose of this function is to automatically fill in the user name field on the end device upon re-launching the Application. In this manner, the end user agrees to this information being stored on their end device. To remove the user name, select the already saved name, then click the “Edit” option in the menu and the “bin” icon. -
Session cookies:
are required to maintain correct information exchange between the server and the browser, and thus to enable correct display of the contents of the visited page, including the Application, and enable use of the functionalities included therein. The Bank stores and obtains access to this information to identify a given session (dialogue between the Application and the server) as well as End Users communicating with the server at the same time.
Protection of personal data of Customers of Bank Handlowy w Warszawie S.A. — confidentiality obligation with respect to Customer-related data
Our objective is to improve confidence in the Bank by providing optimal protection of information entrusted to it. The Customer can choose the manner in which their data are processed. We encourage decisions which will enable us to offer products and services that meet individual expectations and financial needs.Our priority is security of Customers’ personal data. We protect these data by using, according to the applicable provisions, physical and electronic means of protection as well as high standards specified in the Bank’s procedures. Our employees are trained within the scope of correct Customer data processing. Whenever our services are entrusted to third parties, we require them to observe the same information protection standards as those applicable at the Bank.
How Citi Mobile Application features can be discontinued:
- All the Citi Mobile Application feature enrollments can only be enabled on a single device at any given time for your security,
- These settings are transferred to the new device, when you install & authenticate yourself on Citi Mobile Application on new device,
- All application features can be turned off at any time in the application settings,
- To discontinue usage of the Citi Mobile Application, you can uninstall the app and continue accessing Citibank Online via our website.
