The list of winners of this year's prestigious "Ethical Company" Awards of Puls Biznesu was announced yesterday evening. There was a record-high number of applications in the third edition of the competition - over 200 applications from companies and enterprises from across Poland. Since the beginning of the competition, Citi Handlowy has been consistently chosen one of the winners. The "Ethical Company" Award was granted to Citi Handlowy for activities supporting the development and strengthening of organizational culture based on ethics and the principles of corporate social responsibility which stand out as compared to other enterprises in Poland.

When receiving the award on behalf of the bank, Barbara Sobal, member of the Management Board of Citi Handlowy, said: We have consistently worked to ensure high standards for years. We believe that ethics is an inherent part of responsible business, and it is an activity we want to pursue. This philosophy is visible in everything we do - when we announce we are a bank without asterisks or fine print, and when we make strategic decisions not to get involved in the FX mortgage loans market. What is important is that ensuring the best practices requires long-term work that has to involve all employees. Hence, in our everyday work we strive to focus on responsibility and honest communication in our contacts with customers, shareholders and colleagues the same. Awards such as the "Ethical Company" title of Puls Biznesu are very important in confirming the effectiveness of our activities.

The Puls Biznesu competition has been organized since 2014. It welcomes all enterprises registered and operating in Poland - regardless of the number of their employees, type of activity, share capital or profits generated by the company. The final result was a sum of points awarded in several categories: Responsibility under the ethics management program, executive management's supervision over the program, System for reporting irregularities and ways of their verification, Training sessions and communication, Corporate Governance, Reputation, Leadership or Fraud Risk Management.
