Citi Handlowy with 18 good practices in the Report of the Responsible Business Forum

18 CSR initiatives of Citi Handlowy have been featured in this year's 13th edition of the Responsible Business Forum's Report. The Report has been released annually since 2002 and it is the only such publication in Poland recognizing the most important corporate social responsibility initiatives.

This year's edition of the report is a record one, featuring nearly 700 good practices (compared to 403 last year). It is worth noting that as many as 264 of them are long-term practices, which may indicate that more and more companies see greater efficiency of long-run programs. The good practices listed in the Report include as many as 18 practices of Citi Handlowy (16 last year), among which there are three new initiatives: the "Biznes w kobiecych rêkach" (Business in Women's Hands) program, the "Policz siê" (How to Manage a Household Budget) program as well as the Emerging Market Champions Award".

We are pleased that our presence in the Report is becoming more and more visible. 18 practices is our record, says Krzysztof Kaczmar, President of the Management Board of The Citi Handlowy Leopold Kronenberg Foundation, responsible for the coordination of the Bank's CSR activities.  In particular, it is worth noting that the majority of practices are long-term initiatives, carried out for many years. We always emphasize that the most important thing in CSR activity is an in-depth analysis of the needs and then the consistency and sustainability of actions leading to real changes, he adds.

The "Responsible Business in Poland - Good Practices" Report is the only such publication in Poland reviewing the most important issues related to corporate social responsibility. All initiatives are grouped according to ISO 26000 standard into seven areas: corporate governance, human rights, labor practices, fair operating practices, consumer issues, community involvement and development of local communities. Interestingly, the number of SME companies submitting their CSR initiatives is growing.
